Autumn 2014 Symposium Weekend. Sat 4th & Sun 5th October 2014

Albrecht Schmierer

“30 years hypnosis experience and still en-tranced”

Venue: Stirling Highland Hotel

We are looking forward to welcoming Dr Albrecht Schmierer from Stuttgart, who will be leading our Autumn meeting this year. He is much in demand nationally and internationally as a highly regarded speaker. Some members recall his previous visit to Scotland a few years ago and speak warmly of him as an exciting teacher. Albrecht has a dental background, which I am sure the large numbers of our dental members will appreciate, but he has huge experience of working in the field of hypnosis and psychosomatics that we can all learn from and enjoy.

Albrecht has designed this as an advanced level workshop. Non members will be very welcome, but please advise those you invite that some previous experience in hypnosis will be an advantage. He will include video presentations, demonstrations and small group working all tailored to our needs. He summarises his aims as:

“Using medical hypnosis with the experience of 30 years
Tailored Hypnosis to meet the patient but also the hypnotist
Enjoy being in trance all day long”

We have avoided clashing with school holiday weekends this year, and those of us who attended last year’s meeting at the Stirling Highland Hotel can thoroughly recommend the experience, especially as we have been promised that car parking will be both adequate and free this time.

The meeting offers good value for money – just £140 for the full one and a half days (9 hours verifiable CPD). This will include all coffees, teas and snacks, and a good lunch on the Saturday. A conference dinner will be held on the Saturday evening, costing an extra £22.50. As the meeting will finish at 12 noon on Sunday we are not arranging a conference lunch, realising that many people will want to head for home at that stage, but it will be possible to stay and relax over a Sunday lunch by arrangement with the hotel. Once again a special rate has been agreed with the hotel for those wishing bed and breakfast on the Friday and/or Saturday nights.
